EgerOnline Apple Developer Division introduced the first native Mac OS X English-Hungarian Dictionary for the Macintosh community. The application is based on free internet dicionaries and our own expansions. We used Apple's great Objective-C (Cocoa) language to create a powerful, fast and easy-to-use software. Though the app was primarily designed for Hungarian users, it also has an English user interface & Help.
There are a lot of useful features in the application: • Live Clipboard: When activating Hungarian-English Dictionary, it automatically pastes the textual clipboard content into the search field. • Less clicks: There are some great keyboard commands for a lot of mouse actions to save you some mouse clicks. For example you can easily change search direction with Command+1 (English to Hungarian) and Command+2 (Hungarian to English). • Easy copying: You want to use a word in your text documents, e-mails, iChat? Search, click & copy (Command+C). The software is smart enough to copy only the search result, so for example, it won't copy the English word, just the search result in Hungarian. Known issues, missing features: • The application can't speak Hungarian: That's because it uses Apple's built-in MacinTalk feature to speak phrases.
